Athletics Carnival

St Anthony's Athletics Carnival will be held this Wednesday 11th August 2021 at the Phillip Athletics Track, cnr of Kitchener & Aisworth Street. Our Bilbies and Koala classes will leave the Preschool at 9.30am and travel by bus to the oval. We will return at 12pm. Please ensure you are on time to school that day.

Please pack your child's lunch box and bag, however their recess should be in a separate plastic bag

labelled with your child's name, they will also need to bring a drink bottle and their hat. The children will have recess at the track and lunch back at school.

School carnivals are not possible without assistance from parents and friends. If you are able to help on the day, please let us know. You will need to have a Working with Vulnerable People card and have the card with you on the day. Help is required from 9:30am – 11.30am. You are also welcome to come and be a spectator.

Our ELC students will wear their school uniform. Please ensure that students come prepared for all weather conditions and have a water bottle, sunscreen and a hat. Canteen facilities will not be available for these students on the day, and standard lunch orders will not be available at school. A special lunch order can be made through the QKR app. 

An SZapp message was sent out that included a link to our permission form for the event. Please ensure the permission note is filled in by Monday.

Parent/teacher interviews

A big thanks to all parents and staff for participating in parent/teacher interviews over the last couple of weeks. This is an important opportunity to discuss your child’s learning, respond to any concerns and celebrate great achievements. We value your feedback, and it is important for our continued growth and development.

Help in the Preschool

If you have a special talent or time to spare and would like to join us in the classroom, please get in touch with your child’s teacher. We also warmly welcome any of our grandparents who can join us.

If you have a particular interest in gardening, we would love to hear from you too. Our Landcare grant money is available, and we are preparing a plan for our Preschool garden.

Correct uniform

This month the students will return to wearing hats so please ensure they have a hat every day. It should be clearly labelled. The students are also expected to wear the correct Preschool uniform. Where possible the children should wear jumpers during the cooler months without the need to wear long sleeve garments under their polo shirts. Alternatively, the students could wear a singlet to help keep them warm. During the day the students are encouraged to wear jumpers and jackets when playing outside.
