School photos
Paul joined us this week to photograph the students both individually and in class groups. In a few weeks you will receive a link to the photographs. This will enable you to follow the link and choose the photographs you would like to purchase. It was a pleasure to have Paul join us at the ELC. He was wonderfully patient and affirming with the students and took his time to ensure a great photo of your child. https://smashingpanda.com.au/
Professional Development
As a strong, relational and connected staff we commit to keeping up to date with evidence based professional learning. This week many of our staff have participated in a range of webinars including; Working with Children’s Behaviours, Planning for Outdoor Learning and Unleashing the Power of Shared Thinking. This term in our whole staff meeting we worked with Mary Kenyon to learn more about Godly play. This is a wonderful way for staff to tell Gospel stories during prayer time and to plan experiences for the children to re-enact in their play.
We critically reflect on our practice with a continued and clear vision to keep our pedagogy relevant and connected to our students, families and community. We welcome feedback and can be available for you to speak to us or email the ELC elc.stanthonys@cg.catholic.edu.au
Playground plans
Spring has sprung and our garden beds are ready for plants. If you have any cuttings, small plants or seedlings you would like to donate to us in the coming weeks we will gratefully accept them. We also have lots of pots to fill and would love any donations of potting mix and/or sugar cane mulch.
Father’s Day
We hope all our wonderful Father’s, Grandfather’s and father figures enjoyed their special day.
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad
