It has been wonderful to meet our new and returning families for 2021 and to show them our wonderful ELC. It is always a pleasure to show families our centre and observe the students engaged in play. We will welcome our 2021 families at an Orientation in Term 4, and we look forward to beginning their Catholic Education journey with them.

Next week is ‘all things’ Science with lots of science experiments on offer. Families, if this is an area of interest for you, we would love to hear from you and discuss how to showcase your knowledge during the week.

Reminders
Students and staff should now be wearing hats and sunscreen when they are outside. Please ensure your child has a hat. The hat can remain at school and be kept in the child’s locker. It will be sent home regularly to be washed.
Please place sunscreen on your child before arriving at Preschool. We have pump sunscreen available in the foyer. If your child requires their own sunscreen, please send it in labeled and advise the staff.
Car visors signage
With an increased need for students to be picked up at ‘drive through’ at the end of the day there have been a few changes made to this pick-up time. If you are a regular in the car line and to increase your visibility, we ask that you display a sign on your car visor that says -ELC. We will have these made and be ready for you to collect on Monday. This sign will allow staff on duty to know that you are waiting in the line and prompt them to move other cars along so you can leave the car park. Thank you for your continued cooperation as we navigate different processes at the end of the day.
Prayer mat
A huge thanks to Miss Barb for putting together our beautiful prayer mats. The children love recognising their names and remember fondly their parents sewing them during our Orientation. They beautifully represent our connected community and bring everyone together at prayer time.
Family Feedback
Thank you to everyone who provided us with written feedback at the recent Parent/Teacher meetings. We are always striving to provide a high quality, inclusive environment where your child and family feel connected and belong and we welcome your valuable feedback to inform changes in our practice and pedagogy.
This year we continue to look at the following Quality Areas and make improvements. If you have any suggestions or feedback about these areas, please email us elc.stanthonys@cg.catholic.edu.au
