What a Celebration!
Thank you for coming along to our end of year Picnic and Christmas Celebration.
It was so lovely to be able to Celebrate the end of the year and spread some Christmas cheer at our ELC picnic this week! The children did such a fabulous job singing their Christmas songs for you and I know there was lots of excitement in the lead up to this special event! We hope you enjoyed catching up with family, friends and staff! We have been so blessed to work with your gorgeous children throughout the year. It is amazing to watch their growth as they build connections and grow in confidence as learners. We will miss them as they move to Kindergarten next year – but know they are so ready for school and wish them all the best as they begin this next stage of their learning journey.
Last Week of the Year
It is so hard to believe that next week is our last week of Preschool for 2023. To celebrate we have planned a few fun days to finish off the year.
Tuesday 12th December – Class Party. We will be making some yummy treats with the students to celebrate the last week of school (you may wish to pack a lighter lunch for your child?)
Wednesday 13th December – Water Play Day. Students can wear casual sun safe play clothes to preschool. Please pack uniforms in school bags so they have dry things to change into.
Thursday 14th December - Last day of Preschool for 2023. Our Preschool will be closed from Friday 15th December.
Christmas Bags
On their last day the children have some Christmas bags full of lots of Christmas suprises to bring home with them. The bags are filled with Christmas crafts they have made, and cards that have been brought in for students by their friends at Preschool. We hope they have lots of fun going through these as they finish their time at Preschool.
Vinnies Christmas Appeal
Thank you for all your don
ations of items for Hampers as part of the Vinnies Christmas appeal. We have such a collection of items in the ELC foyer! We were also able to raise $389 from the entry fee donations for our Art Show for the Christmas Appeal. Thanks so much for your generosity to others in our community over the Christmas period.
Children’s Belongings
As things finish up for the year please be sure to collect all your child’s belongings that may still be at preschool – drink bottles, hats, raincoats, gumboots and so forth. We will also be returning student’s medication to you if they have items kept at Preschool as part of medical plans. Inevitably there is sure to be some lost property items left at the end of the year. Our office will be open again from the 15th of January and you are welcome to drop by to collect items that may have been left behind.

Final Statements
Fees have been charged for the remainder of the year, however it is possible that CCS variances might still occur. In this instance further statements may be sent at very end of this year or in the new year.
Absences and last day of attendance
Generally, Centrelink will not pay CCS for absences on a child's first or last day(s) of attendance. This means that if your child is absent on their last day of booked attendance and any consecutive days immediately before that last day, you will unfortuantely be charged full fees for those days.
