St Vinnies Winter Warmer Day
My sincere thanks to all students and families who have contributed to my CEO sleep out fundraiser. Last week, our PJ day and sausage sizzle helped to raise over $900 – a massive contribution!
I will be participating in this great cause on Thursday night this week. It's not too late to donate!
All funds will be raised to support the Vinnies CEO sleepout.
I'm helping to break the cycle of homelessness by joining the Vinnies CEO Sleepout for a one-night event held on one of the longest and coldest nights of the year.

St Anthony's Feast Day
Our school feast day was a beautiful celebration of St Anthony and our community. My thanks to our Year 6 leaders and teachers who led the school so well and provided meaningful activities for all our students. Thank you, Father Tom, for celebrating Mass with us as a whole school. The children's reverence throughout the entirety of the Mass was simply outstanding.
Community Council
Last week STA hosted our first open community council meeting followed by our executive meeting. Just over $25,000.00 was raised from our Fete this term. Current items on the agenda to utilise these funds for school improvements include:
- new bubbler stations
- upgrades to front of school cross and centre gravel garden
- new painted concrete areas for chess board and number boards
- additional seating areas
- minor landscaping works.
We also shared a discussion around our exciting hall refurbishment which will commence next term. The hall refurbishment includes a new canteen, front foyer, amphitheatre area, sports shed storage, chair storage, costume room, stage and state of the art sound system. We can't wait to showcase our new hall early 2025. For the interim, we will relocate our school canteen and redivert access routes to OOSCA. We are looking to begin these changes from week 5 next term, so there will be more information to follow in the lead up to this.
Student Reports and interviews
An enormous thanks to our teachers who have worked tirelessly over the past weeks and months preparing Semester 1 reports. This semester, student reports will include grades and an opportunity for an interview with families.
The option to book parent-teacher interviews will open tomorrow, Wednesday 19 June, and will stay open tomorrow and close on Thursday 27 June. Reports will be released via Compass on Wednesday 26 June.
A reminder that the A-E scale is very different to what it looked like years ago. Our Kindergarten students will receive an alternative scale to A-E as outlined below.
