The last few weeks of Preschool 2025 seem to have just flown by in a whirl of activity. We have been busy!! With our Art Show, the ELC Celebration Picnic, Year 5 Market day, Christmas craft in our classrooms and the end of year liturgy and nativity play with the Primary school. What a fun way to finish off the year!
Our Art Show was a big success. We loved the opportunity to finish the year by showing some of the beautiful artworks created by the students in our Art Show. A very big thank you to all of our families for taking the time to have a look around the Art show with your child. They were very proud of their work and had created lots of beautiful things. We hope you also enjoy looking through the students Portfolios, which include more of their beautiful art.
It was fantastic to catch up with so many of you at our end of year Celebration Picnic. There was much excitement amongst the students in the led up to this event. They did such a great job with their Christmas concert songs and the students were very excited to have a visit from Santa. We hope you had a lovely evening and that it was a good chance to spend some time catching up with other ELC families before the end of the year.
I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all the teachers and educators at St Anthonys ELC. We have had such a lovely year and this is largely due to their hard work! I am blessed to work with such talented and creative educators who bring so much warmth and positivity to the classroom. I really enjoyed the opportunity to have a look through some of the students Portfolios in the last few weeks. These are very much a team effort – with contributions made by teachers and educators throughout the year. They are a wonderful document recording the learning journey of each student during their year at Preschool and we hope you and your child will enjoy looking through them again and again.
As the year comes to an end we want to say a big thank you to each of you – our ELC families – for all your support throughout the year. I am sure each of you are familiar with the saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and it was our priviledge to be a part of your child’s village this year. We will miss our 2024 students – and have really enjoyed the time they spent with us, getting to know them and watching them grow as learners. Please come and say hi next year – if you get the chance – we love to hear how everyone is going as they begin school at St Thomas and St Anthonys. We know they are ready for Kindy and will have a great year in 2025.
To each of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May the holiday season be filled with peace, joy and hope as you spend time with family and friends.
