Preschool News
A huge thank you to all the dads, grandads and father figures who joined us for breakfast. It was a wonderfully relaxed celebration. It was also heart warming to see the children proudly showing you their preschool and everyone enjoying the chance to play and spend time together.
Paul from Smashing Panda photography will work on processing our class and student photos this term and will be ready for orders early next term.
All package/portrait orders will be made online from the password protected client area of the Smashing Panda Photography site. The link and password for this gallery will be provided after the photos have been processed and are ready for review and orders.
BOOK FAIR
All students should now have received their books from our fair. If you think your order has not been processed, please contact the office. Thank you to everyone for supporting the Book Fair and happy reading.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
We value each child as a special gift and aim to create an environment which enables them to experience the joy and wonder of our world. This term the children have looked at community places including exploring, learning, and wondering about sacred places. We enjoyed a visit from Kathryn our youth minister. She told us about aspects of the church and showed us the wooden crosses she had made and used in a treasure hunt over the holidays. At preschool, the children designed their own church with stain glass (cellophane) windows, altar, crosses, bible and bamboo cut up for the bread. We also enjoyed sharing prayer on friendship Friday with our friends from Holy Family preschool. The children enjoyed singing together and seeing Miss Sally (virtually).
OUR GARDEN
We are preparing our garden beds for planting next term and are looking for donations of seedlings or cuttings that you are happy to share. Any donations can be left at the office or delivered with your child. Thank you.
TOY REMINDER
Please do not send in toys with your child unless it is a special news item that has been organised with your child’s teacher. Toys at preschool can get lost or broken and often become a catalyst for disagreements. We discussed this with the students and agreed that there are plenty of toys here for them to play with. We would really appreciate your help to support this preschool rule.
R U OK?
The children were reminded this week of the importance of being friends, checking in with others and spreading kindness throughout the preschool and the world. They enjoyed making friendship bracelets, stone soup and playing in harmony together.
