Remembrance Day
Our preschool students joined together with friends from the primary school this week to commemorate Remembrance Day. The children showed great reverence and stillness for this event
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
It was also an opportunity to meet Mrs Marmont our new St Anthony’s Parish Primary School Principal. Mrs Marmont had a guided tour of the ELC and answered all our burning questions including what her favourite cake and ice-cream flavours are. For the record vanilla cake and neapolitan ice-cream.
Practicum students
A huge congratulations to Imogen and Chi who both taught their first lessons this week. What a great milestone and they are well on their way to becoming amazing teachers.
Thank you to our wonderful ELC staff who are supporting Imogen and Chi at the start of their teaching journey.
At the ELC an important part of our philosophy is to remain a strong, relational and connected staff. Who commit to keeping relevant and up-to-date in our teaching practice by translating evidence based professional learning to create vibrant environment’s where our pedagogy is fluid, reflective and responds to the 21st century learner.
We strive to impart this knowledge and love of teaching to the next generation of teachers and celebrate with them the great things about our profession.
Thank you
Thank you to our wonderful community who continue to adhere strictly to our Covid restrictions at drop off and pick up time. Your support is very much appreciated.
A reminder as the weather warms up to ensure your child is wearing sunscreen to preschool and it is always useful to have a spare change of (labelled) clothes in your child’s bag. On wet weather days they are welcome to bring gumboots and a raincoat.
