We hope everyone is managing life during lockdown. We understand the challenges faced by families trying to work from home, supervise home schooling with older children and participate in preschool activities. The rubric we send each week is our way of staying connected with families and we hope it provides you with some inspiration and direction. We will continue to engage with our families at home for the duration of the lockdown, including the first month of Term 4. We will send weekly rubrics via sZapp and hold reglaur MS Teams class meetings. The meeting times for each class will be posted in the rubric and a link to the Teams meeting will be sent to all families. The meetings are optional.

Holiday Care Program

Our Holiday Care program will go ahead as planned, open from 8.00am – 5.30pm. Education and Care Services including our Preschool and Holiday Care programs will remain open to children who need to attend. This includes, vulnerable children, children of essential workers, and children whose parents or carers cannot work from home.

Waiving of Gap Fees

Catholic Education ELCs will continue to waive the ‘gap fees’ paid by parents to help support families during the ACT lockdown. The Australian Government has also announced access to additional allowable absences at this time. Students who come to Preschool and/or enrol in Holiday Care will be charged current fees.

Happy Holidays

Thank you for your continued love and support during lockdown and all the beautiful messages we have received through Seesaw. We miss you at the ELC and we hope that during the holidays you get a chance to relax and spend time as a family.

The first day back in Term 4 is Tuesday October the 5th, 2021. We recently sent home an sZapp survey about attendance for next term. Please fill it in if your child is returning to Preschool in Term 4.
