Preschool News

Welcome to Preschool!!

We have had a wonderful start to Preschool and have loved getting to know all the students and families.  We are also delighted to see so many grandparents this year helping with drop off and pick up.  We have had a busy start to the year with our new sandpit open for business and our chickens settling into their new home.  Our garden beds are bursting with tomatoes and we look forward to lots of cooking experiences with the students.

Healthy eating

Benefits of healthy eating in Early Childhood include optimal brain development, physical growth, and early adoption of healthy eating habits.  These are important in preparing children for formal schooling and adult years.

We promote healthy eating at the ELC and encourage parents to only pack items that have good nutritional value.  Any treats can be left for home time.  Please do not send in chips, lollies, biscuits etc.

The children will be encouraged to drink water throughout the day.

Our students are welcome to order lunch from the school canteen.  The Preschool mini menu can be found here.
