AWARD WINNERS
Our ELC team were very excited to receive the news that we were the recipients of a Director’s Recognition Award at this years Faith in Learning Awards.
We had lots of fun on Thursday evening heading over to St Christophers Cathedral and the Catholic Education Office for a mass and afternoon reception to receive the award. We were delighted to find one of our parents – the gorgeous Jacinta - was also there to receive her own award! Jacinta received an Emerging Leader Award for her work as a Religious Education Cordinator. Congratulations Jacinta! the St Anthony's community continued to show their excellence with one of our Primary School parents - the wonderful Stephanie - also receiving an award as a Highly Accomplished Lead Teacher. A huge congratulations to our team and community!
“St Anthony's ELC has consistently demonstrated remarkable passion and enthusiasm in implementing their programs. The dedication they show towards creating a vibrant learning environment is truly commendable. Their excitement is infectious and translates into engaging activities that captivate the students' attention and foster a love for learning.
St Anthony's ELC has excelled in incorporating emotional and social learning into their curriculum. By focusing on these crucial aspects of development, they are nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically capable but also emotionally intelligent and socially adept. This approach equips students with invaluable life skills that will serve them well in their future endeavours. They are putting mental health strategies front and centre!
St Anthony's ELC has effectively bridged the gap between early learning and primary education. Their efforts in establishing a seamless transition for students moving from the ELC to the primary school showcase their commitment to the holistic development of each child. This connection ensures that children are well-prepared academically and emotionally for the next phase of their education. There are plans for ELC staff to present and upskill primary teachers to deliver the Resilience program within their classrooms and across the school."
