Over the last few weeks, St Anthony's school community have been led by the Year Six Mission and Ministry Group in collecting items for the Vinnies Winter Appeal. Wow! What a generous community we have. We had over 10 large bags filled with warm clothes and accessories, blankets, sleeping bags, hot water bottles, bedding and other warm items for those who are in need of our help this Winter. In addition, our PJ day and staff soup days raised an amazing $1330 and the school bottle bins raised a further $143.

Lastly, many hands were very busy knitting squares for us to sew into blankets making 5 knitted blankets this year! A very big thank you to Mrs Smith for her crafty work in sewing together all of those squares to bring a little warmth to the bodies and hearts of those who have fallen on hard times.

On behalf of our local Vinnies Conference, Mr David Thiele came to collect the donations during the Prayer Assembly this week. He was blown away by our incredible generosity. Well done St Anthony's!
