Preschool Holiday Program - Term 2, July 2022

Dear Families, 

Welcome to our Term 2 Holiday Program. The Program operates from the 4th to the 18th July and we are open between 8:00am and 5:30pm.  This includes the pupil free day on Monday 18th July.  The program has been created to provide high quality care that is also fun and engaging for your child. Please see the outline below for the specific activites or themes each day.

If your child is enrolled for 48 weeks per year, then they are automatically booked in and you do not need to complete a form.  They will be able to attend for their usual booked hours = Preschool (9am-3pm) or Preschool Plus (8am-5:30pm).  

If your child is enrolled for 40 weeks per year, you are now able to make a casual booking for the cost of $150.00 per day, 8am-5:30pm.  Casual places are limited and bookings will be accepted on a 'first in' basis.

If you are eligible, CCS will be applied to your fees.

Each day students will be expected to bring their own fruit break, morning tea and lunch. For those children here after 3pm we will supply afternoon tea.  Children can wear casual clothes however must have closed in shoes appropriate for outdooor play.

If you require a last minute booking, please contact Alice on alice.castrission@cg.catholic.edu.au and she will discuss this with you.  

Notice of one week is required to cancel a casual booking otherwise full charges will apply.

Week 1
Monday 4th July	OCHRE Enjoy exploring Ochre in a variety of ways.
Tuesday 5th July	STORIES AROUND THE FIRE Listen to some dreamtime stories around the campfire and try some damper baked on the coals.
Wednesday 6th July	NATURE WALK Observing and respecting the world we live in. Collect natural items to make Indigenous inspired art.
Thursday 7th July	BALLOON MAKING Create your favourite animal, creature or flower.
Friday 8th July	LOCAL SHOPS VISIT Walk to Wanniassa shops, enjoy some hot chips from the take-away and a play at the park.
Week 2
Monday 11th July	TEDDY BEARS PICNIC Bring your favourite bear or soft toy along for some Teddy Bear fun walking to the pine forest.
Tuesday 12th July	ITALIAN CAFE Create pasta from scratch,make an Italian dessert and turn the classroom into an Italian Cafe!
Wednesday 13th July	SCIENCE DAY A day of Investigating & designing paper planes, kites and wind spinners. Researching all types of fun  experiments and bringing them to life.
Thursday 14th July	LOOSE PARTS PLAY Have fun playing and creating with a range of loose parts - wooden planks, plastic spools, rope, material. What will you create?
Friday 14th July	MOVIE DAY Time to relax and enjoy a G movie with popcorn and mini muffin pizza.
Week 3 (first week of term2)
Monday 18th July  Pupil Free Day	DRESS UP DAY Come dressed as your favourite character, sports team, book or thing you love.
